I'll do the report as all you time poor working peasants ( bugger that's me now, damn! ) will be flat out enjoying your long weekend. Robbie called it, camp out Friday and sat, big day sat planned with Dazza the guru leading with a short ride Sunday before heading home. A few of us braved the traffic and drove down Friday evening, meeting a the Nannup pub for a feed and a beer. Toddy Rothy Robbie Hooters Craig and Andrew. We drove out to the camp site lite a fire, told many lies and did our best to hydrate for Saturday.

The turnout Sat morning was awesome 12 bikes in total. Dazza, Ktmshaun, Huskymike, Hooters Orangebobby, Rothy Todd Crfandrew Twoody Harry Junior Craig300. So we had a quick catch up with old faces met some new ones and headed off with Nannup guru Dazza leading and Twoody sweeping. The first hill was a killer and Dazz broke us all in the first 10 minutes. greasy rocky incline of doom. Oh I should mention it pissed down Friday night so there was moisture aplenty. I hadn't ridden in over 6mths an Rothy was looking bit rusty even Dazza had a wee lay down. Sooo, we had a regroup and skipped the hill and headed off to plenty of single track to warm up and some gnarly downhills one of which brought Rothy unstuck and gave his ankle a tweak- back to watch the camp Rothy on the blacktop. Down to eleven. More single trail mixed with open tracks Dazz did an awesome job of leading us around.Huskymike musta thought I was a bit clean so filled me in- don't worry mate the tears washed all the mud away... We made fenceline hill just before lunch we played around there with everyone giving it a crack but only a few lucky ones managed to dodge the rocks an get up. Off to Nannup to fuel up and have a bite at the pub. The afternoon started cooling down quick we had a couple of small showers in the morning but the afternoon was crisp and clear. More tracks trails and hills hills hills, did I mention rocks..... there were a couple of those too. The Nannup guru was looking battle hardened and fighting fit but the city slickers were looking a bit secondhand, we stopped at the bottom of a rutty greasy hill with a group of riders giving it a crack but the crustys showed them how its done haha, one for the "outta towners!!" Junior smashing it on Harrys 250! By this stage Dazz had noticed how average we were lookin' and we started heading back to camp, with a "no more hills!" call...... followed by another hundred hills...and rocks! So back at the camp, couple beers with the day trippers and they all headed off. Dazza camped with the rest of us and a few beers were enjoyed under a clear cold night- or what I saw of it 8pm bed time for the aging kiwi!! Awesome day cheers Dazza and the dirty dozen, it was the perfect size group apart from Rothys ankle no dramas and any ride that doesn't involve a rescue chopper is always good. I think we did about 600km a thousand hills an two billion rocks...

The campers started stirring around 7am, Todd, Rothy, Andrew, Craig, Dazza, Robbie, and myself. We had a coffee an breaky and discussed what was happening for the morning. Turns out, not much. Rothy, was out of course, Todd's sandy giney was rubbing on his bike seat so he was out. Both Dazza and Craig had strict parole conditions and had to be home by noon. Sooo, that left me and Rob, not really safe especially the way Rob rides....! BUT then Andrew is in! the three amigo's- whoop whoop its on! The three of us headed of for a short blaat aiming to be back at the cars at 11am- perfect. Rob lead and found some great tracks close to the camp quite a bit of more open stuff with a bit of single track and a bit of exploring for next time. We found some great trails perfect for a short sunday ride before heading home- it will be compulsory next time. We'll have 3B cream an MAN-UP pills available.....! So great short ride no dramas back to pack up and we were all on the road by noon, beer in hand! I was about 6 in an remembered I had to drive from Robs- bugger! On the waters :( Awesome weekend, cheers Rob for calling it, Dazza, maaate great trails thanks heaps, the sweeps and all the players for making it. Thanks all for the laughs see ya all next ride, Hooters
