I don't think I would ever say it's too wet to ride in Perth, yesterday came so close though. Every creek was flowing, with one totally impassable & sneaky peat bogs that appear on familiar tracks sucking the back wheel straight in. Cheers guys & sorry I cut it short but the cold wears down these old bones. My feet have only just now un-prunned. Hooters: Cheers pounce, tiger for sweeping and everyone else catch ya’s next time Jacko: another great days riding, all the creeks are flowing and watch out for the quicksand,well lead pounce and swept tiger and thanks for the entertainment ross. Ross: Thanks for the ride today Pounce, When you said that bikes would get bogged today,I thought we would get further than 100 meters before we all sunk. Had a ball today plenty of water and a top crew.(Just did the calculation Pounce 6 riders 893 rides). Thanks Jacko for your bush mechanic skills. TigeR: Great ride today Pounce. You even managed to keep the rain gods away for the duration of the ride so we only got wet from the ground up. Good to have an old Crusty crew out there - to add to Ross' stats, if you sum the years the 6 have ridden with the CQ - it's 62 years. Some of us have been slack, others are getting close to the top step. Thanks for the wet riding tips Hooters. The theory makes perfect sense, the practice is another story.                    |
