Sawyers 200 Enduro
Riders: MickKal, Azza, Yatesy, Dorian, Isaac, Isaacs mate?, David
Called this ride as a local alternative to the Capel 200 for those who couldn't make the real deal. Most of the core Crustys went down to Capel so I put out the call for the remaining city stragglers to ride out from Sawyers. I turned up first in the carpark behind the pub, the radio said it was 2 degrees but feels like -0.6 and there was Ice on the grass everywhere. Glad I packed the warm gloves. Then Azza or Andy turns up and mentions that he is a vintage Crusty (last ride in 2013) and has 30 rides to his name and definitely knows how to ride, watch out Husky Mike he is 65 and coming for your Title. Numbers were uncertain but we ended up with 7 which was perfect, Yatesy was late after a big night clubbing but we got going and hit the tracks. My 300 was out of action so I made sure the tracks were nice and flowy for my 500 and so we made it out to the mega hill quickly, went down but there were no takers to go up, so off to pig shooter hill which caused a bit of carnage, and then onto the usual central single tracks and then back to Sawyers. No flats, Dorians rear shock didn't blow out and no major offs to speak of. Thanks everybody for showing up and remember that some of you have not joined the main Crusty website which means no ride points.     |
