Last ride for 2022
Thanks for the Adv ride Yesterday Tommy. We managed to squeeze one last ride in for 2022 in between Xmas and New Year. I haven’t had the need to ride with Eddy for a long time but it was good that he showed and tagged along to make up the numbers.
The ride started early at Bullsbrook where we headed up thru Moondine and then into Julimar to do a couple of loops thru some familiar tracks. Tommy was keen to do some different tracks to mix it up a bit, luckily as we cruised around we spotted two new sections of single that were recently marked with tape, so Tommy lead the way on his 701 single track slayer and we mapped both out to use next season. The dust was ok but the Julimar gravel was so slippery it had me checking for a flat tyre more than once. By now it was lunchtime so we stopped in at Toodjay for a cheeky pint and then headed out thru Bakers Hill and then onwards to the long ride via the back trails to Sawyers Valley. We then settled in for the usual drinks and chat at the Tavern, Eddy didn’t say much and never bought a round. The ride ended up being about 350klm from my place so I took the easy option and called home for a lift, while Tommy being the traditionalist Adv rider, so he soldiered on home on his bike. |
