Stack of the day Frank
Pounce called for a show at the Lakes for 7.30 so we could all drive out, park up & go for a cruisy Saturday ride.
8 that have been before & the two new guys, Todd & Rothy (Wanrner Bros. names?) show up & stand around having a chat in the light drizzle hoping for a bit more of the wet stuff. 7.30 comes around, we head of & all's good.
We get to the parking spot then this lone car with trailer shows up. It's Frank. He missed us at the Lakes but with a good guess & some blind luck found us. Good to see him out again... or is it?
The brief meeting that I always give & we head off. First corner regroup to check everyone is good to go, I look behind & see nothing but dust.
We head south with everyone travelling well until just 8 klm's into the ride, I come across some other rider that has lost his 2 mate, so I stop & wait for the group when Mike pulls up & says Frank has come down & might be a bit of a wait. Understatement of the year.
I head back to see what's wrong & poor Frank has come down on a small log accross the road & broken his shoulder blade (as far as we know) & is in a lot of pain. One comment afterwards was "he rode it to the ground, he wasn't letting go". Mackley has rendered first aid & supported his arm in a sling.
The group comes together, myself, Howard & Mick go back to get Howards 4WD. While Mick watches the bikes us 2 head back to get Frank.
Frank is loaded up, doubled over in a lot of pain & in a semi comfortable position for the drive back to the cars.
I get everyone to regroup where we're parked, who's taking whos car & bike home is sorted, Howard's on the way to the hospital with Frank so the drama is over.
5 of the guys decide to carry on once we're done, Lethal, Mike, Jacko, Todd & Rothy, which isn't a problem with anyone as there was no reason for all to pack up & lose a good day.
I'ld like to offer a huge & unreserved thanks to everyone for their patience, Howard for getting Frank & doing the dreaded hospital run, the 2 n00bs Todd & Rothy for volunteering to take Franks car home & Mick for looking after Howards bike.
This is the #1 reason you ride in a group & help each other regardless of who they are.
Franks main question was "how long do they take to heal, I wanna go surfing?" Anyone got an answer.
Again, thanks to everyone for the help this morning. One guess who gets SOTD!

More ride report to come from the 5 that carried on.
