Players :- Inver , Ken, and Fudge with tag along Acid Gloves Eddy Inver called the ride…… slow and steady he said because it’s going to be hot. He was sure right with one out of three, it was HOT. I’m thinking he does’nt know the meaning of slow or steady. Three riders + Acid Gloves took off from the OVT around 10:30, it was bush and single tracks, fire breaks and sandy whooped out power line tracks, heading for the normal quarry playground for some hill work and the first stop. Already knackered. A few pine forest tracks and some really nice single tracks got us to the servo for a much needed re-supply of water and another rest. After the break Inver and I have swopped bikes and we hit the ridge run and surrounding tracks for a play. Suddenly I’m almost keeping up, thoughly enjoying the KTM and forgotten how stuffed I am. Amazing what better suspension and a few more horses can do.(not to mention slowing the leader down giving him my bike , Hey.) A very hot energy sapping enjoyable ride comes to an end. As we make our way back to the OVT I wonder will Inver notice his bike going onto my ute? Hmm. |
