Report - Collin with 2 Ls
Players – Andy400, Collin, Darin, Jacko, Ktmshawn, MalHingston
Jacko called a ride in a favourite spot for the coldest morning I’ve been up for in a long time. 3 Deg on the dash in the car, up to 7 deg driving through Joondalup, looking better and back down to 1 deg then 0 Deg!! Frig it was cold. Put the boots in the passenger side floor and cranked the heater, toasty. New player MalHingston on a shiny new WRF450 and a long absent Collin (with two Ls) returned for a trail ride. Collin does a lot of marking out and sweeping at events and was keen just to get and have a ride for himself. He put his hand up for the sweep vest and helped bring us all home together – many thanks. Darin was on the newish Beta, a fine machine but after a brush with a tree a loose clutch line dropped all the fluid. A quick tighten and some water from the camelback and soon back on track. With ktmshawn and Jacko also on two bangers the sweet smell of premix was hanging in the cold air. Jacko was the ever smooth lead taking us on a single trail premium loop with some big gullies and hills thrown in. A few back tracks as getting use to a newer GPS but I think every trail was found and totally enjoyed. Went to a him (widow maker) and a valiant effort twice from both Shawn and Mal. Shawn had the funniest drop on the second go as he turned the bike around, let go and stumbled down the slope at an incredible pace. How he didn’t go arse up I don’t know. Mal made it to the top on the second trip – well done Mad Mal! About 95ks all up and back at the cars for 1.30 made it very good outing. No injuries, no bike major breaks and smiles all round.
