Pounce called a ride that involved lots k's and lunch at a pub.
Ten keen riders waited at the Rock Inn for the eleventh to turn up late. Sorry about that everyone.
We got to the camp site and were off on our ride once most had stashed extra fuel in there backpacks.
Pounce took us on some great loops that got further and further away from the campsite. Great mix of trails with hardly a whoop in sight.
We got to a section where we could go free for all and everyone took off. Jacko had a small off in front of a couple of us and at the next stop I mentioned to Pounce what had happened, he said there will be lots more of that to come. And he was right, two black boys took me out a few minutes later. Thanks to all that helped get me going again.
A while later we stopped at a rocky area and two bikes became tangled in fencing wire. Unfortunately for Pounce the wire had busted open his rear brake line so he left us a for slow ride home on the transport sections.
Ten of us soldiered on being led by the one and only Tommy. After a ton more k's and the odd remark about being hungry from Todd and Bunga we finally made to Sawyers Valley Tavern for lunch. After burgers, parmi's, and a few pints of the brown fluid we fueled up at the servo and were off again.
Tommy took us down some great single trails and this is when Jacko took on a tree and lost. He stayed with us for quite some time but once we got to a road that went back to camp he took it. The vote was passed to do another hour or so of riding in the light that was fading fast. When Jacko left and we headed up the trail into the sunlight and shadows I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was thinking I should have maybe gone with him. We soon got used to the light and were back into again.
We made is back and my gps said 216km which is the longest I've done out there.
Pounce and Jacko had the camp fire going, and many laughs and stories were told. Few too many bourbons on my part for pain relief I think. The head was worse than the knee.

Big thanks to Pounce for organizing it and leading, Tommy for taking over, and Ash for sweep duties. Top time had by all and I'm sure everyone is keen to do it again so Pounce will actually get to do a full ride!

Couple of other mentions - Dutchy450 likes to not bother taking corners at times...
Huskymike likes to hang back on the black pig and pass everyone like they are going backwards.

Was the sotd for the black boy stack or the campfire one?......

I've got some vids I will post up when I get a chance to go through them all.
