saturdays ride report.
husq mike, jacko, cleanman, toren, fudge, gareth, johnny five, forrest, ross.
mike called this ride to the north hills area and nine riders turned up. when we got there the under growth was smoldering from some burning off. we thought it was pretty harmless so we unloaded the bikes when a frendly firery turned up for some more burning off. he showed us his map of the closed area which still left plenty of good riding country so we packed up the bikes and moved down the other end.
we head off and get to the third corner where cleanmans bike is playing up. its idling ok but nothing over that. having fuel injection we feared the worst so he and toren went back to the cars to fix it.
the rest of us carried on and did a big loop of single trail and the hill climb area. johnny five had a close up with a roo and mike took on a wandoo tree. he has got skin off both arms and a purple shoulder as a result.
we get back to the cars and cleanmans bike is all good, it was just a loose battery terminal. fudge calls it a day and the rest of us head out for another loop through the hills again then back for a coldie.
Jacko

Cheers Mike for the call and Jacko for sweep duties, nice and dusty at the back, well done. Thanks to the rest of the crew and newbie Toran for hanging back when me bike stopped. Note to self don't leave getting the bike ready until 10pm on a Friday night before a ride.
Never been for a ride in that area some very good single tracks that will be much, much better with a bit of less dust and more traction.

Mike is now all confused about what should be the next bike 300, 350, 450, to many choices.

SOTD I reckon to Mike although I was not there the war wounds tell the story.

TOTD goes has to go to me.

We need more RAIN! Mid May and still as dusty as mid January.

Where there's smoke:

Thanks for the guys who turned up for the ride.Luckily the controlled burn off was only affecting half of our riding area,so it was an easy plan B.
Great for a change being up the front with no dust.Big thanks thanks to Jacko with crook back who swept all day.
Clean man has nominated himself as TOTD so no need for me to say any more.
I will graciously accept stack of the day, as it must have looked impressive watching from top of hill.

I think all the good work by the Chiro last thursday got undone. Those Wandoo trees are tough.
Mike
